Its been 2 weeks long of none stop traveling and barely any sleep. With my current schedule for Fashion week, it means 7 am hair and make - up ready to shoot, 18 hour days in full make up, fueling up with coffee the back to work. With the amount of stress, excitement, and little rest, it takes a tole on my skin the most.
The last thing I want is to look tired in photos, or even worse - to break out. For whoever has been following me for a bit, you guys will know that I have struggled with my skin for a very long time. Having cystic acne when I was younger, which really effected my confidence, making me want to constantly hide my face and avoid eye contact with people. As I got older and learned how to care for my skin more, my acne started to clear. Till this day, it’s still an uphill battle with my skin and when its put under the conditions that it has been in with so much traveling, different pH’s in rising water, and stresssss- I prepared myself for a very unwanted friend that I was sure would show up on my face.
Everyday since I have left L.A., I have been using Dr.Diamond’s skincare line in efforts to preserve the fresh faced skin I’ve worked so hard to get the past year. Starting with the cleaner — one of the main things that I look for in a Cleaner is little to no chemicals, which means I sacrifice smell for the health of my skin. Next is the Repair Serum then Corrective Treatment which I also use as spot treatments for my little unwanted friends. This miracle in a bottle treats uneven skin tone and smoothes out any problem areas. To seal in the moisture (I don’t know about you, but when I travel, my face seems like it gets sucked of all its moisture and it looks tired and not so cute) I do a tiny pea size and warm it up in my fingers, placing the Hydrating lotion all over my face. Tapping in the goodness, and pressing it into my skin. Lastly, you can’t forget about your body. Dr. Diamond’s body cream has literally become one of my favorite body lotions. The light Jasmine smell and creamy texture is perfect to calm your senses down and unwind after long travels or just a long day.
Im so happy to be on this skin journey with Dr. Diamond and his team. With all the acne I had when I was younger, it has left my face with pitted acne scaring on my forehead.
